Community Impact
As part of our core values, community embodies the shared responsibility we have to one another. Children and young adults receive nurturing support each and every day in school, the community and at home. It truly takes a village! As a result, Peace of Mind Nannies and our network of families give our time and resources to organizations that support all Rhode Island children and families.
Since it began in 2023, Peace of Mind Nannies has donated over $600 as a sponsor and workshop facilitator of interNational Nanny Training Day (iNNTD) in RI. iNNTD is an international grassroots effort spearheaded by Nannypalooza where local nanny training events are held as a way to recognize the needs of young children and to raise awareness of the positive correlation between nanny training and quality care. This initiative is part of Week of the Young Child, an annual celebration sponsored by the National Association for the Education of Young Children.
In 2023 and 2024 we donated and then sponsored:
R.A.M.P. or Real Access Motivates Progress
Accessibility is Beautiful is R.A.M.P.’s annual event celebrating diversity and inclusion by highlighting the need for accessibility throughout Rhode Island. In 2024 we sponsored the Kids Corner offering a variety of inclusive activities for neurodiverse children and adults.
R.A.M.P. is committed to an inclusive world where everyone thrives by breaking barriers, championing accessibility, and promoting equal opportunities through innovation, advocacy, and education, fostering a more equitable future.
In 2023, we donated approximately $500 to:
Rhode Island Black Business Association (RIBBA)
RIBBA is committed to closing the wealth gap in Rhode Island by empowering all residents to thrive and fostering equitable opportunities for future generations. Our innovative program model is built upon key pillars of success, including financial empowerment, workforce development, business development, contracting, a learning series, capital pathways, advocacy, entrepreneurship, and mentorship.
In 2022, our efforts led to over $1,000 being donated! Review below are the organizations we donated to.
Providence Children’s Museum
Sponsorships for the 45th Birthday Celebration and Allen H. Chatterton Jr. Memorial Golf Tournament provided operational support for the museum and free admission to military members and their families.
The Providence Children’s Museum serves over 85,000 visitors per year inspiring learning through play, creativity and exploration.
The Autism Project
20th Annual Imagine Walk fundraiser
Funds raised went directly to the community they serve which includes children, teens and adults living with an Autism Spectrum Disorder and their families, caretakers and the professionals who support them. As a former Respite Provider through The Autism Project and as a former Personal Assistance Support Services (PASS) worker for children with disabilities, our founder, Tiesha Sinouthasy has seen first hand the impact that these vital services provide to Rhode Island families!
